Medline for Cold Weather
This blast of cold air leaves my skin almost unbearable. Does that happen to you? It’s dry and itchy, and if I’m not careful it will get completely out of control. Then I am forced to go to the dermatologist for relief. But if I start using Medline Skin Repair Cream the minute this cold weather starts, I’m good. But Medline is not just for dry skin from cold weather.
Are you washing your hands more now than ever? Using hand sanitizer every time you go out? Those things continually dry out your skin. Medline is a great moisturizer that has very little fragrance. It will protect and relieve the drying effects of sanitizer and continuous hand washing. And hand washing doesn’t just have to be related to Covid. It could be the careful precautions you are taking if someone has a compromised immune system at your house.
Nurses love Medline. It does not degrade latex gloves. And since it’s lightly fragranced, it does not offend anyone with a sensitive nose. If fact we were in the hospital with Dad when we found out about Medline. He had fallen, and when I went into his hospital room, I was expecting maybe a quiet scenario. But there was a party going on, and Dad was super excited about a product that the nurse had used on his skin. And that’s another good reason to use Medline. It’s great for small skin tears or abrasions. He was thrilled about how much better his skin looked, and he looked me right in the eyes and announced that this was the next new product for us to write about. That was just like Dad--- to take a hospital visit into another good opportunity to help his readers.

Question: I am in need of some help with cleaning mildew off my new brick patio. We had the patio installed a year ago, and since this fall it has had this slim and mildew. I am looking for a product that would be easy to use and is not going to hurt my wife's plants.
Answer: There is a product called 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner that is specifically for your problem. Start with a dry surface. So, pick a nice sun- shiny day. The cleaner works faster when you start with a dry surface. Then spray 30 Seconds on the patio. Let it work and then rinse it off. It comes in a convenient spray quart, a hose-end quart and a concentrated gallon. The gallon makes 2 gallons when you mix it ½ and ½ with water.
Question: I really would like to have a Thermo Plug for the pump house during freezing weather. Last year I got caught during bad weather and didn’t have any water. Is there a certain heater that I should use with Thermo Plug.
Answer: Not any heater would work with a Thermo Cube. You can also use a heat light or heated tape. As long as it is plugged into a Thermo Cube, it will turn on at 35 degrees and shut off at 45 degrees. It’s a real life saver.
Question: I have an aging cat that doesn’t always make the litter box. The smell from on the bottom of the couch is awful. I have tried baking soda and vinegar but that hasn’t helped at all. She also pooped on the wood floor and it left a white stain. What would you suggest.
Answer: Cat smells are stronger than dog smells. Use a product called Bio Zapp. It’s crystal clear and will not harm the sofa upholstery. Spray it on any surface that has an odor. The white stain on the wood can be removed with White Ring Remover. Wipe it across the stain. You might have to use it a couple of times, but it will remove the stain. Catch the stain while it is still white, when it is easy to remove. If the stain turns dark, you will have to remove the varnish, sand the stain, and then refinish the floor.
Attention: I need a few people to test out a new product for me….if you have a cat, and you are tackling odor problems – send me an email and I will send you a product we are testing.
