Every Spring I see so many rakes and
shovels being sold in the store and I try and show my customers a
Back Saver Grip to go with it. A Back Saver Grip is a
handle that you can attach to your long handle tools prevent
unnecessary bending and stooping that causes back pain. Instead of
bending over to rake or spread fertilizer the
Back Saver Grip
allows you to stand higher and still get the job done. It will allow
your legs to take over the job instead of your back. Not only is it
easier on your back but it also reduces the strain on your wrist and
shoulder from gripping a handle. You can use for over head jobs like
painting or scraping a ceiling and washing siding on a home. You
don’t have to get a
Back Saver Grip for each tool because
with a quick twist of screwdriver you can move the grip to another
tool. When you get your grip, try it in a few places on your tool
handle and find the comfortable place for you. So before your next
yard job, whether that be spreading compost, leaves, or just sweeping
off the deck save your back with the
Back Saver Grip.

Question: I have a cast iron old
tub that looks awful. I can never get it clean. I have tried
several cleaners but the tub never feels really clean. It’s a
colored tub that goes with the rest of the bath so I don’t want to
replace it. What can I clean it with so that it looks good again?
Answer: Since it’s an iron tub you
can use the
Delete Germ. Using a 3M Scrubby Sponge and
wearing gloves apply a 50 cent size dollop around the tub and then
start scrubbing with the sponge. The lime and soap scum will
dissolve immediately and your tub will be as shiny and clean. Rinse
Delete Germ is the best cleaner for porcelain
tubs, toilets, ceramic tile that I have ever seen. And the nice part
Delete Germ is also a disinfectant but doesn’t have a
strong chemical odor.
Question: I have what they called a
“cultured marble counter top” in the bath and it’s still in
good shape but it has stains on it. I know I can’t use bleach, or
an abrasive cleanser so what can I use?
Answer: The best product to use on
cultured marble is Gel Gloss! Cultured marble is a product with a
gel coating and if you use anything to harsh you will damage the gel
coating. Apply the
Gel Gloss with a soft rag, and let it dry
to a soft haze and then buff dry. It will protect your counter top
from hard water stains and soap scum.
Question: My husband has a allergy to
certain cleaners and he has gotten extremely sensitive. Is there
anything that I could clean with that would have no smell? It really
bothers him and he is retired now and home more often so I really
need to find something.
Answer: E Cloth products are
especially made for just your concern. Made for cleaning with just
E Cloth saves you time and money by not using any type
of chemical. The fibers on the
E Cloth are different than
other cloths, and will trap dirt and dust and then you just rinse the

Question: My grandson has learned how
to open the front door without my help. I was wondering if there is
a good option for door locks that doesn’t require a key that also
would look good on my door.
Answer: There is a lock called a Door
Guardian that doesn’t need a key. It is a 3 inch dead bolt lock
that attaches to the door frame and then will slide over the door and
secure the door. The
Door Guardian comes in several finishes
from oil rubbed bronze, brass, satin steel and white. I like the
Door Guardian because in case of emergency you simply slide
the lock and out the door you will be instead of looking for a key.
